About this product

ThermaGraph™ is graphene pre-dispersed in deionized water, with no glycol and no freeze package. It is a ready-to-use coolant for closed cooling loops: a complete fill, not an additive you top off into an existing coolant. It is supplied pre-mixed, never as powder, and contains no carbon black.

Electrical and thermal

Formulated for low electrical conductivity and enhanced thermal conductivity. Low electrical conductivity reduces shorting and corrosion risk around electronics if a leak or contact happens; high thermal conductivity moves heat away faster. It is not a dielectric. Measured values are reported on each lot’s Certificate of Analysis.

If it leaks

Non-toxic, glycol-free: deionized water (≥99.8%) and graphene, not classified as hazardous under GHS (see SDS). Standard leak detection and power isolation still apply.

Data center cooling

In data center water loops (CDU, direct-to-chip and rear-door heat exchangers), our internal testing results showed 6–18% better heat transfer than glycol. Modeled estimates from an engineering model (GI model assumption: 10% to 29% cooling-energy reduction) put the saving at up to about $1.2M a year for a 20 MW site at PUE 1.44 (up to about $6M a year for a 100 MW site at the same PUE), and $80,000 to $680,000 a year for a modern 20 MW hyperscale building at PUE 1.10–1.20. These are internal lab and modeled figures, not field data, so every evaluation starts with a 30-day sample in your own loop.

Closed-loop HVAC

ThermaGraph™ is also designed for closed-loop HVAC systems, such as chilled-water loops and hydronic heating and cooling loops, where freeze protection isn't required. We have not yet published HVAC-specific results, so we recommend a pilot in your loop against your current fluid, with corrosion coupons for every loop metal and a check against your water-treatment program.

What it is not

It is not a freeze fluid (freeze point 0 °C), not a freeze fluid (freeze point 0 °C) and not a top-off. It is not a dielectric, so never use it to immerse live electronics; for immersion tanks, see ThermaGraph-D™. If your loop holds inhibited propylene glycol such as DowFrost LC25, drain it first.

Available in 5 gal pails, 55 gal drums and 275 gal totes. Pricing is by quote while online pricing is prepared.

Frequently asked questions

Is ThermaGraph™ a top-off for glycol?

No. It is a complete fill. If the loop holds DowFrost LC25 or another inhibited propylene glycol, drain it first.

Does it protect against freezing?

No. It is deionized water with no glycol, so its freeze point is 0 °C (32 °F). Loops that need freeze protection should stay on a glycol fluid.

Can I use it in HVAC chilled-water or hydronic loops?

It is designed for closed-loop HVAC where freeze protection isn't required. We have not published HVAC-specific results, so we recommend a 30-day pilot in your loop with corrosion coupons and your own baseline measurements.

Where do the performance numbers come from?

The 6–18% heat transfer result comes from internal testing results against a glycol baseline. The savings figures (modeled estimates: up to ~$1.2M a year for a 20 MW site and up to ~$6M a year for a 100 MW site, both at PUE 1.44) are from an engineering model with a GI model assumption of 10% to 29% cooling-energy reduction, not a field installation. Both are data center figures.

How is it different from the Graphene Coolant Additive?

ThermaGraph™ is a ready-to-use fluid that replaces the coolant in a closed loop. The Graphene Coolant Additive is a concentrate for teams that want to add graphene to their own coolant.

How do I buy it?

ThermaGraph™ is quote-only for now. Request a quote or a 30-day sample and we will size the order to your loop.
