Graphene Integrations Press Releases

Press releases from Graphene Integrations, a US graphene manufacturer in Charlotte, NC, and from our earlier name, Graphene America. They cover the milestones behind our work: the creation of 100% pure graphene analyzed by Raman spectroscopy, the lubricant test results from Univar's independent Houston lab, the graphene concrete additive, graphene-integrated polymers developed with AARG, and the car care products developed with ITW.

Where to start

What each release covers

100% pure graphene. The first release describes how we made pure graphene and had it analyzed by Raman spectroscopy, a standard way to identify graphene and judge its quality. It is the starting point for everything else we make.

Lubricant testing. The lubricant release reports independent testing at Univar's Houston lab, where a graphene lubricant additive showed up to 42% less wear and a 26% higher weld load. Univar acted as an independent testing lab; it is not a partner or customer of ours.

Concrete additive. The concrete release introduces our graphene concentrate for concrete. In independent third-party testing in 2023, a dose of 5% by weight of cement gave a 67% gain in compressive strength and a 25% increase in water resistance. Results depend on the mix design.

Aerospace and armor polymers. Working with AARG, we developed graphene-integrated polymers and composites that were evaluated with V50 ballistic testing at NTS Chesapeake. We have not published V50 numbers, and this work is at the development stage.

Car care products. With ITW we developed four graphene car care products sold under the Rain-X and Black Magic brands. ITW formulates, makes and sells them; we supply the graphene know-how and the graphene dispersion.

About Graphene Integrations

We make graphene and mix it into water, solvents, resins and oils, so manufacturers get ready-to-use dispersions, concentrates and additives instead of dry powder. Our ThermaGraph™ coolants for data center cooling are patent pending. Some projects, such as graphene rebar and food packaging, are still in development and are not products yet.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I read the full press releases?
Each release above links to its own page. They are listed from the first, the creation of 100% pure graphene, to the most recent.
Who tested the lubricant and concrete results?
The lubricant results come from independent testing at Univar's Houston lab. The concrete result comes from an independent third-party test in 2023.
Is graphene sold as a powder?
No. Graphene is sold only pre-mixed in a carrier, and pricing and samples are by quote. Request a quote or samples.
Who do I contact for media questions?
Use our contact page, or read our guide to graphene dispersions for background.
