ITW was our first client. It is the company behind the Black Magic and Rain-X car care brands. Graphene Integrations, then Graphene America, worked directly with ITW's engineering team to bring graphene into consumer car care products, and four of them made it to store shelves.
The four products
Together with ITW we developed four graphene-enhanced products, two for each brand:
- Rain-X Graphene Spray Wax
- Rain-X Graphene Exterior Detailer
- Black Magic Intense Graphene Quick Detailer
- Black Magic Intense Graphene Tire Shine
How the work was done
Our founder, Frans Alkemade, worked side by side with ITW's engineers. ITW's team knew their products and their customers. We brought the graphene know-how needed to add graphene to formulas that were already proven. Car care formulas are often solvent-based, and we supply graphene dispersed in solvents as well as in water, resins and oils.
Who does what
ITW and its brands formulate, make, market and sell the finished products. Graphene Integrations supplies the graphene know-how and the graphene dispersion. We do not sell consumer car care products ourselves, and we do not publish performance claims for ITW's products: those are ITW's to make.
Where the products are sold
The products are sold at major US auto parts and retail stores, and online, including Walmart, Advance Auto Parts and Amazon.
